Flutter app development for iOS and Android

One Flutter codebase for iPhone and Android phones, from our in-house team in Rajkot, India, led by Vivek, our Flutter Development Lead. A good fit for most business apps, and we say when native would serve you better. Two of our Flutter apps are published anonymously below; others stay confidential.

Who this suits

  • Startups and businesses that need iOS and Android together on one budget.
  • Products with a custom design that should look the same on both platforms.
  • Owners of a FlutterFlow app that has outgrown the visual builder.
  • Hardware products where Bluetooth is one feature among many.

What we take on

Flutter, and the parts around it.

  • New Flutter apps

From first version to both stores, with design and testing by the same in-house team.

  • Back end and admin

The APIs, database and admin panel behind the app, in Laravel or Node.js, or connecting to a back end you already have.

  • Native bridges

When a plugin is not enough, we write the platform part in Kotlin or Swift and connect it to Flutter.

  • Bluetooth hardware

If Bluetooth is one feature among many, Flutter works well, with native bridges where a plugin falls short. If the device is the product, with long background connections or firmware updates, we usually recommend native.

  • Firebase

Sign-in, cloud data, storage, push notifications and crash reporting.

  • FlutterFlow

Extending a FlutterFlow first version with custom code, or moving to plain Flutter where your plan allows code export. In practice that move is one way: changes to exported code do not go back into the visual builder, so we decide it with you first.

  • Existing Flutter apps

Taking over an app, upgrading Flutter, and replacing packages that are no longer maintained.

Choosing the build

When Flutter fits, and when it does not.

Flutter fits
Accounts, booking, ordering, content, social and most business apps, where features ship to both stores together.
Consider native
Heavy background work, deep use of new platform features, an Apple Watch app, or hardware that needs very tight control.
FlutterFlow fits
You need a first working version fast and can accept its limits. Plan for what happens when you outgrow them.

Work we have published

Recreated screens of the music discovery app: the home screen with mood tiles, top charts and recently played songs, or the Top Charts screen, each beside an enlarged panel of the mood and chart tiles or of the Local Jazz Charts playlist and its four tracks

Screens recreated from the delivered app with neutral naming and invented artists and songs.

How an engagement runs

  1. You tell us what you need and what exists today.
  2. We agree a written scope, or a dedicated team, with you.
  3. We build in short cycles you review, then release and support.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Can I see Flutter apps you have built?

Two are published as anonymised case studies, the Music Discovery App and the News and Video Content App, both on Android and iOS. The second also has a Next.js web front end and a PHP Laravel and MySQL back end with an admin panel. Client names stay confidential, so they are not linked to store listings.

Can Flutter talk to Bluetooth devices?

Yes. Plugins cover many cases. For unusual hardware or tight timing we write a native bridge in Kotlin or Swift. We test on the real device wherever you can supply one, because the iOS Simulator has no Bluetooth and emulators cannot show how a real phone behaves.

Can you take over our FlutterFlow app?

Yes. We look at what it does, then either extend it with custom code or, where your plan allows export, move to plain Flutter code. Which is right depends on how much of the app needs changing. We have not published a FlutterFlow project yet.

What does a Flutter first version cost?

It depends on screens, user roles, back end and integrations far more than on Flutter itself. Our cost guide explains each factor; send us your scope and we will give you options for it.

Tell us about your Flutter app.

What it should do, who will use it, and whether anything exists today. A few sentences is enough.
