Toy Screw Sorting Puzzle

A 3D puzzle: unscrew a toy model and sort the screws by colour

A toy model in 3D is held together by coloured screws. Tapping a screw sends it up to the box of its colour, three screws to a box. Screws whose colour has no open box wait in a row of holding slots. Freeing the screws in a good order takes the model apart and clears the level.

The product

What it does, and for whom

A tactile 3D puzzle about colour and space: screws sit all over the model and its base, and the few holding slots make the order of taps matter.

Scope The publisher runs the game and its store presence. To keep the client confidential, the game's name is withheld and every image on this page is new artwork recreated for this portfolio, not a screenshot of the delivered game.

  1. Tap a screw

A freed screw flies to the box of its colour.

  2. Fill the boxes

Each box takes three screws of its colour.

  3. Mind the holding slots

Screws without an open box of their colour wait in the holding slots, so plan the order.
