Learning Games for Children
Phonics, numbers and mazes: three small games that teach through play
Three learning games for young children, developed for clients. A phonics game moves step by step from simple three-letter words to letter pairs. A number game teaches counting, ordering and simple sums in short activities. An animal maze game mixes puzzle play with several maze modes.

The product
What it does, and for whom
Young children learn best in short, playful sessions with bright pictures and quick success. Each game keeps its tasks small and gives an immediate response to every answer, so a child can play alone at their own pace.
Scope The clients run the games and their store presence. To keep the clients confidential, the game names are withheld, and every screen on this page is recreated in the game's style for this portfolio with new words, numbers and simple new drawings — not a screenshot of the delivered game. The phonics and number games were played with the phone held sideways; their screens are laid out upright here so they read well on this page.

The games
Phonics game
Short sound-and-letter activities in a step-by-step path: the child completes simple words by picking the missing vowel, then builds words that end in letter pairs.
Number game
Eight activities in one menu — learning, matching, writing and counting numbers, putting them in ascending or descending order, filling in a missing number and simple addition — each set out as a small picture task.
Animal maze
The player draws a route that leads an animal through the maze to the exit, with a hint button for tricky spots. Six game modes — classic, monster, ice floor, darkness, trap and time attack — each change the challenge, and coins unlock new animals.
About these images: every screen on this page is recreated in the game's style for this portfolio, with new words, numbers and simple new drawings and no game names or logos, to keep the clients confidential.
